A FOUR-GOAL salvo from Pauline Hemmingway inspired Ross to an impressive 5-1 triumph over high-riding Gloucester 2nd in the West Clubs Women's Hockey League Severn Division 1.
The outstanding Hemmingway scored all of her goals in the second half after Linda Davies' early opener had been cancelled out before the interval by the Gloucestershire outfit.
Hereford 2nd slipped to a 2-1 friendly defeat against visiting Droitwich 2nd, despite taking the lead through Helen Lewis. Droitwich drew level on the stroke of half-time and secured a hard-fought victory early in the second half.
Despite a brace each from Caroline Hughes and Abi Thomas, Leominster were pipped 5-4 by visiting Colwall 2nd in an end-to-end friendly.
