AN engaging personality will be charming Hereford with his irrepressible humour and infectious enthusiasm next month.
Simon Weston, one of the most popular speakers in the United Kingdom, is coming to Aylestone School, Broadlands Lane, on Friday, February 7.
Few people would have recognised the man who headed out for the Falklands conflict back in June 1982, but the face that returned from the bombing of the Sir Galahad is recognised the world over.
Simon Weston is known for his single-minded determination as well as his disfigurement from 46 per cent burns, and his tireless charitable work earned him an OBE in the 1992 Queen's Birthday Honours.
'An Evening with Simon Weston', which starts at 7.15 pm, is being hosted by the Herefordshire Federation of Women's Institutes.
