MADAM, I applaud and support Mr. Foxton and the people at Border Oak for pursuing the rebuilding of the old market hall.
Hereford's city centre would be a far more attractive tourist attraction for it, especially with overseas visitors in search of a little piece of old England.
That is the attraction and is exactly what Herefordshire has to offer. There are numerous cities and towns that have promoted contrasting and controversial designs modernising their city centres, and all to hideous effect. Is Hereford about to follow suit?
The city needs to play to the county's rural strengths. No more art for art's sake.
