MEMORIAL HALL -- At a recent committee meeting held at he hall the minutes of the last meeting held in November, the secretary Jenny Davies read the minutes, and the chairman Robin Michael stated that many of the things read had already been done and others would be done in the near future. He also stated that some friends living in the area agreed to raise money towards the cost of the improvement. This would mean kitchen and lounge alterations John Middle, treasurer, gave details of the finances, which were quite good. The final amount in hand will be known at the end of February, which is the financial year. Robert Watts, the booking clerk, is still doing the bookings, and it appears most of the regular societies continue to support the hall, which is still used by many of the organisations in and around Ewyas Harold. As it is quite a long time since it was erected (opened 1955), certain replacements have to be made, all costing special efforts to raise the money. Thanks are due to all the members and officials who are now and man who have supported the hall over many years. The next committee will be on Tuesday, March 25, at 7.30pm. Members of all the associations using the hall are asked to attend the meeting.
