CONCERT -- On Saturday, February 22, the choir members of St Mary's Church are giving a concert in aid of Almeley School Building Fund. This is being held in the village hall and commences at 7pm. The concert will consist of individual and group items also choir items and will conclude with a little musical. Admission is £2 for adults and 50p for children. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a raffle.
SCHOOL -- There will be a family Valentine's disco/dance on Saturday, February 15, in the village hall. Family tickets cost £12 and this includes refreshments and live music. The school will be supporting the Acorns Children's Hospice fund raising day on Friday, February 14.
WHIST CLUB -- Future whist drives to be held in Almeley village hall, will be presented by the newly formed Almeley Whist Club, under the guidance of Sandra Payne, Dorothy Brown and Rich Harris. The first of these whist drives will be on Tuesday February 18, and they will continue on a fortnightly basis. Admission will be £1.50, which will include food refreshments. There will be prizes for the highest scores and a raffle. Play will commence promptly at 7.45pm. Everyone is welcome.
