Hereford found the task of trying to stop the runaway leaders of the Gerrard West of England and South Wales Premier Division 3 beyond them as they crashed 11-0 at Cardiff.

They had no answer to their hosts who extended their winning run to 12 victories from 12 starts.

Leominster 2nd produced some of their best hockey of the season to lead Gloucester 2nd 3-0 after just 20 minutes in the North-East Divison 2, but let their hosts come back to draw 3-3.

Simon Maxwell, Adie Preece and Chris Lambert fired Leominster into the lead but Gloucester hit back to level. Mark Thorn regained the lead for Leominster but Glouc-ester squared with a late equaliser.

Hereford 2nd leap-frogged visiting Yatton with a confident 3-0 success, all the goals coming after the break.

They controlled the play from the start but failed to convert several good chances.

Steve Alderton converted a penalty flick to open the scoring and further goals from skipper Dan Little and Richard Brown completed a fine win.

Hereford 3rd also enjoyed a 3-0 at home to North Bristol 4th in North-East West Division 2.

They created a string of chances from the off and eventually Richard Jones opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the area. Nick Ford swept home a second goal and, with time running out, Tim Miller completed the scoring.

Hereford 4th were pipped 3-2 when they hosted South Gloucester 3rd in a North-East West District 4.
