AN epic voyage to raise cash for two charities could see a survival expert accompanied by only his horse and dog passing through Herefordshire this summer.
Simon King aims to travel 875 miles from John O' Groats to Lands End in a horse drawn cart to raise money for the Riding for the Disabled Association and Hereford based The Allied Special Forces Association.
Mr King, who has many links with Herefordshire, aims to live off the land.
The self-sufficiency expert, who has offered his advice to makers of the Castaway television programme, will have only Poppy the horse and Pru the dog as company during the journey that he hopes to record on film and the Internet.
