Sedgley White Lions 1 Kington Town 2
MARK Davis bagged a skilful brace as Kington battled hard to overcome the early loss of Danny Hill, sent off in the sixth minute, to record their 16th West Midlands League Premier Division win of the season.
Kington started brightly and both Ben Chambers and Davis went close to opening the scoring. Hill was brought down by a heavy tackle from behind and was dismissed for alleged retaliation in the tussle that followed.
The depleted visitors reorganised and continued to dominate the exchanges, but in one of their rare attacks Sedgley took the lead when a striker slid the ball past stand-in goalkeeper Jarrod Clay.
Chris Aspey set up the equaliser with a precision through ball, which Davis expertly flicked past the home keeper with the outside of his foot.
It was all Kington after the break and Chris King provided a telling pass for Davis to show admirable control to steer the ball into the top corner.
l Kington's second att-empt to play Little Drayton in the first round of the West Midlands League Premier Division Cup was postponed because the Mill Street ground was unplayable after bad weather.
