Ledbury Town Res 2 Hinton 4

HINTON returned to winning ways and maintained top spot in the West Midlands League Division 1 South when they came from two goals down to grab victory with four second-half goals.

Lacking in confidence after squandering a three-goal lead in their previous match, Hinton failed to finish off several promising moves.

Ledbury took advantage of indecision at the back just before the break for Mike Marsden to head home the opening goal and five minutes after the interval he bagged his second by heading past a stranded Dave Spencer.

This stirred Hinton into action and Luke Semple reduced arrears with a 25-yard drive which bounced awkwardly to deceive the Ledbury goalkeeper.

Darren Birch levelled from close range and Hinton took the lead when John Williams and Simon Douglas combined for Williams to cross for Ross Semple to head home.

Hinton continued to press and Luke Semple sealed victory with a curling shot from just outside the box.
