LADY singers around the piano in care homes, village halls and clubs across the county, have raised £1,000 towards a campaign for life-limited children.
The Wye Singers from Hereford raised the money during 2002 in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice and the charity's £4million appeal to build a new hospice for the three counties.
"We have achieved this by singing to entertain at care homes, church and village halls, luncheon clubs and WIs. We would like to thank all the venues that helped swell our pot to this handsome sum," said group treasurer, Heather Knight.
This year the ladies will be collecting for St Michael's Hospice.
Anyone who would like to be entertained by The Wye Singers can contact booking secretary Betty Strong on 01432 274926.
