Ledbury and Newent firefighters attended a house fire at Four Oaks, close to the Three Choirs Vineyard.
They found that the kitchen blaze had been caused by an electrical fault in the fridge.
The incident took place on Thursday, February 6, just after 4pm.
The flames had burned themselves out by the time the brigade arrived but the kitchen suffered smoke damage.
Firefighters wearing breathing gear ventilated the room.
