Ledbury firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to release a pregnant woman from her car, following an accident, involving two vehicles.
The rescue, shortly before 1am on Sunday, took place at the top of the Homend, close to the Railway Station.
The cutting gear was used to remove a door "in a matter of minutes", allowing the women to be helped from her vehicle. She was found to be seven months pregnant and suffering from shock. She was taken by ambulance to Hereford County Hospital. The driver of the other car was unhurt.
