BROMYARD primary school teacher Emma Brice has arrived in Tanzania to begin six months of voluntary work.
Writing from Iringa, the 27-year-old St Peter's teacher said: "There are 29 of us now all the American and Australian volunteers have arrived and we are meeting a further 41 Tanzanian students on Saturday - a much bigger group due to some unexpected funding.
"We travelled through one of the National Parks on our way from Dar to Iringa and saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, gazelles and monkeys - another excellent surprise!"
Ms Brice will be training for the next four weeks, after which she will begin environmental work at a site chosen by organisers of the trip, Student Partnership Worldwide.
