Old Halesonians Colts 10 pts Hereford Colts 39
HEREFORD warmed up for Sunday's North Midlands Colts Knockout Cup first-round clash against Dudley Kingswinford with a fine away win in a friendly match against the 2001 winners.
Regular first-team fly-half Colin Osborne showed his class to score two tries, a conversion and a penalty as Hereford built up a 15-10 interval lead.
The Wyesiders dominated after the break with tries from centre Ben Stephens (2), flanker Ali McColl and a hat-trick try for Osborne, who also added a couple of conversions to take his personal tally to 24 points.
Hereford Under-13 were 12-0 down against local rivals Luctonians at the break, but turned the game on its head by scoring 36 points without reply in a fine second-half display.
Their tries were scored by Jack Hodges (2), Chris Watson (2), Ollie Frost and Charlie Barrett, while Luke Yarrington landed three conversions.
