Ross Town 2
Headington Amateurs 2
ROSS started at a gallop to open up a two-goal lead but were pegged back and had to settle for a share of the points in Division 1 West of the Hellenic League.
The home team were quickly on the offensive and created numerous chances. Dave Skipp used his pace to outstrip the defence to a Jorge Thomas cross and net the first goal from eight yards, and then Thomas pulled the ball back from the by-line for Adam Bridges to score a second.
The visitors took advantage of a lack of height in the Ross defence to level the score with goals either side of the interval. The game became more physical as both sides pushed for a winner, culminating in Headington losing a defender as the referee finally lost patience to show him a red card.
