MOTT the Hoople and Chicken Marengo were a couple of answers to questions posed at the Bromyard versus Leominster NFU branch quiz at the Barnaby Arms, Bredenbury.
Bromyard branch chairman, David Watts, challenged Tim Brooks, the Leominster chairman, to a head-to-head duel of wits and enlisted the help of Holme Lacy College, in the form of Charlotte Gibb and Cathy Meredith, to set the questions and maintain order! Robin Knott kept the score.
"We had a great evening and are thinking of making this an annual event," said David Watts.
The Bromyard team emerged victors, with Leominster a creditable second, particularly as Bromyard grew with fresh recruits from the bar!
