ANOTHER 45 men and women working in the Ambulance service in Herefordshire are to be presented with the Queen's Jubilee Medal.

Five representative members from the county have already received theirs at a ceremony with Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Trust in Worcester.

The medals have been awarded to all ambulance staff who work in the emergency front line of the service, often putting their lives at risk.

To qualify they had to be working in such a situation before February, last year.

The presentation to the ambulance officers, who come from all over the county, will take place at a gathering at the ambulance station at Grafton, in Hereford on Tuesday, February 25.

Many of them are paramedics, some are technicians.

They are: Timothy Chandler, Robin Baker, Christopher Hughes, Stephen Hargest, Eric Link, Donald Kirkham, Gerald Powell, team leader, Christopher Cook, Benita Jenkins, Robert Preece, Christopher Martin, David Wilcoxon, Margaret Tacey, Peter Dunsford, Robert Wells, Maria Farrell, Russell Keogh, Barry Thompson, David Morgan, Anthony Gwynne, Thomas Passey, Brian Pritchard, Peter (Andy) Kemp, to be received posthumously by his son and daughter, Dennis Moore, Daniel Hutchinson, team leader, Philip Clifford, Stephen Clifton, Iain Taylor, team leader, Paul Harris, team leader, Martin Fulloway, clinical sup, Andrew Kibble, David Watkins, Jeremy Daw, Jeremy Fry, Paul Johns, Brian Hooper, David Lander, David Forman, Robin Kitching, Stephen Busby, Anthony Smith, Colin Thomas, team leader, Vincent Childerley, Graham Brooks and Richard Shearsmith
