Ashperton Parish Council has formally requested news from Herefordshire Council of a traffic study on the A417 through the village.
The outcome of the study could lead to a reduction in the speed limit past the local primary school.
Parish Council representative Ian Newberry said council technicians were taking measurements along the length in question last week. But a promised report on the options is now a week overdue.
