The Herefordshire Home -Start coffee morning at the Burgage Hall on Saturday put £75 into the charity's coffers.
Home-Start manageress Jill Hiscox said the main aim of the day was to draw attention to the organisation's increasing presence in the Ledbury area.
On Monday, from 10am to 1pm, an eight-week training course will begin at St Katherine's Hall for people who wish to be Home-Start volunteers.
Eight people have signed up so far, but the charity is hopeful that still more will come forward.
Home-Start offers support for parents with young children, under five, who find themselves facing difficulties. Details on 01432 371212.
