A CONSERVATIVE training day will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the Fir Tree Inn, Much Cowarne. The event is for local activists and comes ahead of council elections in May.
Leominster constituency agent Andrew Barrand said an extra challenge this time is that the vote will be by post with no polling stations. Herefordshire is part of a Government trial of alternative forms of voting.
Meanwhile, Forest of Dean District Council is holding an event for anyone interested in standing at the elections.
The council's managing director Meg Holborrow will provide information on the work of the authority and the role played by district councillors.
The event will be on Tuesday at 6.30pm at the council offices in Coleford. To book a place ring Simon Harper on 01594 812621.
