SWIFTS entertained U15s league leaders Leominster with a re-shuffled line up due to missing players.

LEDBURY SWIFTS U15s 3, LEOMINSTER MINORS U15s 2

Leominster took the lead after half an hour when a high free kick was well punched clear by goalie Mike Hill, only for the ball to be drilled straight back into the corner of the net. Tom Locke's corners caused Leominster problems, Tim Rutherford and Dan Herbert both going close with headers.

Swifts controlled the second half play, Anthony Bradford and Jason Payne both worked hard to create openings but Leominster then extended their lead against the run of play.

Tim Rutherford moved up from defence to add to the pressure on the visitors and his efforts paid off when the referee awarded a penalty for hand ball. Matt Hodges capped another excellent performance at full back by calmly converting.

Almost from the kick off another driving run by Rutherford created an opening for Jack Hodges to slide in for the equaliser.

Leominster had no time to recover before Tom Watts, making his debut, saw his shot deflected just out of the goalie's reach to give Swifts the lead which they hung on to.
