THE latest instalment of the Graham Westley and Stevenage Borough saga will unfurl when he brings his side to face Hereford United at Edgar Street tomorrow (3pm).

Stevenage manager Westley has been under the non-league media spotlight since his abrupt departure from Farnborough.

He has become the Nationwide Conference's favourite 'bad boy' with relegation rivals crying foul over his transfer dealings.

The self-made millionaire caused fury with the capture of six former Farnborough players on free transfers who his opponents claim would normally have commanded useful transfer fees.

Westley has further boosted his weekly wage bill to a reported £15,000 a week with the capture of highly-rated Boston striker Anthony Elding.

But while Stevenage battle to escape the drop and fend off the brick-bats from jealous rivals the talk at Hereford has all been about cementing a play-off place.

Bulls midfielder Jamie Pitman admits tomorrow's clash is a journey into the unknown after all Stevenage's changes but remains quietly confident.

"We have been talking about the match all week and it is going into the unknown with Stevenage having changed quite a few personnel," said Pitman.

"We don't know what to expect but we have to worry about ourselves.

"Another thing we have talked about this week is having got ourselves into play-off contention what can we do to stay in that position.

"One of the things is to work on our fitness so we can maintain a good fitness level and keep fresh which hopefully will give us an upper hand.

"We are not the biggest of sides but we have other attributes and we play at a high tempo and to do that you need good fitness levels."

Graham Turner's side dropped two places to fifth after their 2-2 midweek draw at Northwich but Pitman believes the key to staying in the play-off zones will be winning at home.

"At Northwich we had a 20 minute spell when we were all over the place so in the end it was a good point," he added.

"If we can keep winning our home games and picking up draws on the road that should be good enough.

"We mustn't forget that we had a spell with just one point out of 18 which if you think about it was horrendous but you can't look back and we're going through a good stage at the moment."

Turner welcomes midfielder Danny Williams back from suspension while defender Ian Wright (jarred knee) and 'keeper Matt Baker (hip) are both expected to be passed fit to play.

FORMCAST: A 2-0 win for the Bulls.
