Parents and friends of Burley Gate School have set themselves a new challenge.
After making a music house last year, they have now set themselves the task of furnishing it with instruments made from recyclable materials.
Headteacher Cheryl Puttick said: "The idea was suggested by Mrs Dixon, class one teacher.
"She felt a permanent structure of tuned musical instruments would provide a setting where children could share in the creative process of exploring and discovering connections between vibration and resonance, length and pitch as well as ratio and interval."
After receiving a lottery grant of £5,000 last year, the school is also creating a wildlife and pond area.
The area will consist of a pond with jetty, different areas to encourage a wide variety of wildlife, quiet areas and paths suitable for wheelchairs.
