THE manor house at Brockhampton Estate is opening a new display to mark the start of the estate's new season of activities.
An exhibition of antique machinery and tools, including a fire engine from the 19th Century and a 1920s chainsaw which was used by wardens and foresters on the estate, will be open to the public at Lower Brockhampton from Wednesday, April 2.
Special events on the National Trust-owned estate coming up include Easter Trails, on April 21 and 22, when children can help to name the latest addition to the Hereford cattle on the estate.
A plant and craft fair and falconry display will take place on May 26, a 17th Century re-enactment on August 24 and 25 and an ugly bug safari on August 7.
The house is open from April 2 until September 25 and from October 1 until November 12.
