RENOVATION work on two town houses in Bromyard has begun.
A pair of buildings on the south side of Cruxwell Street, which were previously privately owned, have been bought by Elgar Housing Association, which intends to rent them out at about £65 a week.
The company's commercial director, Richard Grounds said: "The houses were in a poor state of repair and one had been empty for some time."
"By repairing the properties we will not only improve the area but provide affordable homes for people on the local housing waiting list."
The repair work should be completed in July.
