Newent Town Council is to ask Gloucestershire County Council to look at street lighting levels in the town's older outlying estates. Town councillors in particular have expressed concerns that levels are not what they should be in areas including Watery Lane, Glebe Road and Johnstone Road. The town centre has recently benefitted for new lighting.
