Ledbury moved up to fourth in the league table with their most accomplished performance of the season, totally dominating a Bromyard outfit who, the previous weekend, had lost 3-2 at Malvern Town.

BROMYARD 1, LEDBURY TOWN 7

Ledbury started well, Robbie Colwell hit the post and Duncan Preedy fired wide when well placed, but it was Lee Clueit who soared to head home Phil Preedy's cross for his first goal of the season.

This started the rout asMark Brooks and Stu Hall won the midfield battle allowing Stu Smith and Phil Preedy to support the strikers.

It came as no surprise when Robbie Colwell netted his 26th goal of the season by rounding the keeper and slotting home.

Ledbury could have doubled their tally but had to wait until just before half time when Duncan Preedy cut in from the right, beat his marker and fired home a left foot shot from 12 yards.

Bromyard swapped their goalkeeper at half time and he soon made two brilliant saves from Phil and Duncan Preedy. Just after this Bromyard scored to make it 3-1 after a goal mouth scramble.

This was the only time Hollingshead's goal was threatened as Pete Brown, Chris Powell and Lee Clueit were dominant at the heart of Ledbury's defence.

Ledbury picked up the pace once again and Robbie Colwell increased their lead when heading home Phil Preedy's cross. Stu Smith was fouled some 30 yards out and from the resulting free kick Stu Hall laid the ball off to Nicky Welch who powered home a tremendous shot.

Manager Paul Wilband then made a triple substitution bringing on Warren, Perrin, and Stewart for Brown, Colwell and Hall. The three subs inspired the tired legs and a flowing six man move, which went the length of the pitch, saw Nick Welch pop up from right back to grab a brilliant goal. Number seven was another good move, which ended with Duncan Preedy feeding Ian Stewart to drive home from close range.

This was a terrific display in difficult conditions for a Ledbury side on top of their game. Manager Paul Wilband obviously delighted with the performance hopes this will be a spring board for a difficult time over the Christmas period when they are away at Tipton, Bustleholme and Malvern Town on Boxing Day.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Ledbury are at home to Ettingshall, kick off 2.45pm.
