Ledbury Town cruised to an easy victory at Ewyas Harold and claimed a place in the HFA Senior Challenge Cup semi-finals.

EWYAS HAROLD 1, LEDBURY TOWN 5

Manager Paul Wilband made changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Tividale in mid-week to give valuable match practice for some of the squad members.

Ledbury controlled the match for long periods and as early as the second minute Robbie Colwell headed narrowly wide from a Duncan Preedy cross.

It wasn't long before ace striker Colwell put Ledbury in front firing home from close range after a goal mouth scramble.

Colwell along with Duncan and Phil Preedy have now scored 52 goals between them out of the 58 Ledbury have scored.

Ledbury's second came after a Duncan Preedy corner was flicked on at the near post by Mark Herbert and finished off by Robbie Colwell. Ledbury's third was good interplay between Stu Smith and Stu Hall ending with Duncan Preedy heading home the latter's cross.

Harold started the second half with a lot more vigour and pulled a goal back but Ledbury stepped up a gear and but for some woeful finishing and over elaborating, should have scored plenty.

Harold's Gurney did not help their cause when he was needlessly sent off for an incident with Ledbury's stand in keeper Brown.

After a spell of endless pressure Ledbury made it four when Robbie Colwell rounded the keeper to complete his hat-trick.

Stu Hall and Phil Preedy both had free kicks saved as Ledbury totally dominated. Ledbury completed the scoring when Duncan Preedy's shot was deflected past the hapless keeper.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Ledbury Town are at home in the West Midlands Premier Division to Sedgeley White Lions, kick off 2.45pm.

Ledbury have been drawn at home to Gornal Athletic in the League cup, the winners having another home draw against Malvern Town.
