Ledbury Town and Tividale played out a West Midlands Premier Division draw on Wednesday night in poor conditions at New Street.
LEDBURY TOWN 1, TIVIDALE 1
Good football was always going to be at a premium on a muddy pitch made worse by constant rain.
Ledbury opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Robbie Colwell scored a well-taken goal, flicking-on Duncan Preedy's near post free kick.
Tividale came back strongly for the remainder of the half and stand-in home goalkeeper Peter Brown made a number of good saves as Ledbury held firm under the pressure.
There was no respite for Ledbury at the start of the second half as again Tividale pushed forward and they were rewarded in the 55th minute when Taylor turned well in the box to finish powerfully from 15 yards.
Ledbury picked up after this but apart from a good effort by Duncan Preedy neither side really looked like scoring.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Ledbury Town travel to Ewyas Harold in the quarter final of the HFA Senior Cup.
