Bromyard were without four key players for this North Midlands One clash but were convincingly beaten by a well organised Worcester outfit.
BROMYARD 0, WORCESTER WANDERERS 54pts
The score could have been much worse but the second half saw Bromyard show some grit and determination which had been sadly lacking in the first half.
Worcester took the lead following some slick handling and missed tackles through their centre who was playing pro rugby last season. The missed tackles continued an the scores mounted up to leave Bromyard trailing 40-0 at half time.
Half time saw injured players Scott Holloway and Piers Gaunt come off, to be replaced by veteran Ian McCulloch and young speedster Matt Barnett, with this came more bite and aggression and Worcester got very agitated when the game was taken to them. Bromyard deserved more than conceding two more tries in the half.
On the plus side for Bromyard prop Nick Legge returned from injury as did scrum half Simon Lloyd. Youngster Ainsley Ralph deputising at fly half also caught the eye and Stuart Harrison kept morale up in his role as skipper.
Scott Holloway and Ainsley Ralph are currently training with the North Midlands U21 squad.
