PARISH COUNCIL -- Kilpeck Group Parish Council held its last meeting of the current council in the Wormbridge centre on Monday, April 7. After approval of the minutes, councillors agreed the purchase of a plaque for the oak tree on the village green, Councillor Morgan was asked to look into the problem of chairs removed in error, and efforts are to be made to improve Standards Lane and Marlas Lane. Correspondence was dealt with and comments on the latest Golden Valley Liaison Group meeting followed by a report of the local councils meeting held in Hereford by the clerk. A resume of the parish lengthsman's activities was also given, and a planning application was discussed and approved. The clerk's invoice was approved for payment and amongst parish matters discussed were the condition of the verges on the road leading to the church. Although it was agreed that the next meeting of the new Council would be Monday, May 19 this has been rearranged for Monday, May 12 at 7pm in the Wormbridge Centre.
