HEREFORDSHIRE'S four civic societies are calling for voters to choose candidates who will bring 'sense and sensitivity' to planning issues, in the local elections.
Hereford, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross civic societies say planning proposals and decisions taken by councillors will radically effect the character of the county's towns and villages and ask if councillors seeking re-election are fully clued up on the subject.
"It is the effect of the whole administrative area which is at stake.
"The last thing we want is councillors arriving at prejudiced and ill-considered conclusions that could debase our environment for decades to come," they state.
