Pencombe 1 Colwall Rangers 0
A SPECTACULAR free-kick from Stuart Graham gave Pencombe the HFA Burghill Cup and avenged a defeat to the club who knocked them out of the HFL Frank Peterson Cup on penalties.
Although Pencombe had a lot of possession in a closely fought final at the County Ground it was Colwall who created the better goal-scoring opportunities.
But Pencombe scored the decisive goal on the half-hour when Graham, arguably their best player of the season, struck a superb free-kick over a defensive wall and into the top right-hand corner of the net.
Fine displays from goalkeeper Simon Wall and centre-half Gavin Price kept the Colwall attack at bay, while Pencombe's man-of-the-match Lee Harris posed problems for the Rangers defence.
