musicians from south-east Africa held workshops at John Masefield High School on Wednesday.
World Muzik Makers will also be giving a performance at the Market Theatre at 7.30pm tonight (Friday) with tickets available on the door.
Martyn Moxley, head of the arts college section of the school, said: "We had primary school youngsters here, some of our year nine students and also some adults, learning dance, voice and choreography skills, as well as about Africa itself. Earlier in the day, they had a go at drumming."
Mr Moxley said the hope was that music sessions would now become a regular attraction at the school during Easter with funding available for the next four years.
