SINCE my letter two weeks ago concerning parking at Hereford Hospital, I have heard the designers considered it desirable to keep parking at a minimum to encourage patients and employees alike to use public transport.
Are these people from another planet? Have they tried using public transport from anywhere outside a four-mile radius from the centre?
I, like thousands of others in this beautiful county, have no service nearer than two miles from my home and, as I have to attend the Charles Renton clinic twice weekly and find that there is nowhere to park, I have to find some place over a mile away and walk, come rain or shine.
I wish I could have a limousine and chauffeur paid for by the NHS to drop me off and pick me up, then perhaps parking would not be a problem.
