LOCAL riders Tim Stephenson and Steve Lloyd battled out the Welsh Border Area rider's point to point championship all the way to the wire, tying on points for the John Panniers Memorial Trophy.

The Simcock family's home-bred mare Miss Moss just pipped Arctic King and Ashgreen for the Paddy Evans Memorial Trophy for the leading horse by dint of garnering more prize-money for her brace of wins.

Bringsty farmer Ray Rogers, regular partner of Miss Moss, carried off the H&B HRC plate for the leading veteran rider, while Sam Thomas, who works for Ross-on-Wye trainer Venetia Williams, galloped away with the Pleasure Prints Trophy for the leading novice rider.

Julian Pritchard came with a late run at the final Golden Valley fixture to snatch the Mark Richards Trophy.
