YEAR 10 pupils Hannah Tompkins and Melanie Andrews have been awarded the Imran Sherwani Trophy for their contribution to hockey at Aylestone School.
The prestigious trophy was instigated in 1990 after former England hockey star Sherwani, an Olympic gold medallist, visited the school and took a training session.
He was so impressed that he donated a trophy to encourage, promote and maintain a high standard of hockey at the Hereford school.
