HEREFORDSHIRE County Bowling Association start their Middleton Cup campaign against Worcester-shire this Saturday at Kington, 2pm start.

The match clashes with the Kington Carnival and spectators are reminded to set off early to overcome any diversions or possible parking problems.

Herefordshire have just played Devon in the Top Four County Competition and suffered a 25-12 reverse.

n Champions Hay pulled off a narrow three-shot win at Kington in the Nash Rocks Bowls League even though they won three of the four rinks played.

Hay remain the only club in the league with an unbeaten record and are in good shape to retain the title.

Meanwhile, Knighton continued their poor run of results in the Mid Wales League, going down 75-66 at home to Builth Wells. They had previously suffered away defeats to Llandrindod Wells and Rhayader.
