HEREFORDSHIRE-based rower Rob Francis captured a bronze medal at the National Schools' Regatta in Nottingham.
Racing for Cam-bridgeshire-based club St Neots, Francis teamed up with Bob Baker to finish third in the Junior-16 double sculls event.
Francis, who has just turned 16, is a member of Hereford Rowing Club and stills rows in the eight for the city club.
A pupil at Kingstone High School, he will be taking part in the Docklands Regatta in London this weekend.
He hopes to break into the Great Britain Under-16 team and is looking ahead to the national championships in Scotland at the end of July.
