THE three-day party held at Herefordshire's Eastnor Castle - The Big Chill - has now confirmed a list of artists as long as your arm. Media mix and club tents, the 24-hour caf and new for this year, comedy in the tea tent offer plenty for the more laid back festival goer.
Ticket holders can arrive from Thursday for a weekend of guaranteed chillin' with friendly folk, gorgeous countryside, music sweet music (downtown to upbeat, breaks to jazz, rare groove to house, hip hop to acoustic lounge to classical), a night time arts trail, cocktail bars and gourmet pies. There will also be two intimate bar sound systems, a body and soul area, and a local produce market.
Last year the festival enjoyed a heat wave, but whatever the weather, chilling is the theme with music through the night and separate camping areas catering for both peace lovers and night owls. For details see www.bigchill.net. Tickets (£99 for the weekend) available on 08700 600100.
