Kington Ladies captain Chris Hughes and her guest Jackie Collinson (Monmouth ) posted an impressive nett 64 to win the Invitation Day better-ball medal.
They finished two shots clear of runners-up Jenny Kelly and Marilyn Howard (Burghill Valley), with Carolyn Jones and her sister Jan Bowen (Summerhill) a further shot adrift in third place.
Jo Ellam (Hereford) claimed the nearest the pin prize and Bowen took the longest drive. Kelly bagged the only two of the day.
Hughes and her partner Ros Eaton moved into the fourth round of the Daily Mail Foursomes national knockout when they travelled to The Worcester-shire to record a fine victory.
Anita Dart won the Silver Jubilee Cup when she beat Ruth Lias on a card countback. Results: 1 Anita Dart 98-25-73, 2 Ruth Lias 95-22-73, 3 Chris Hughes 91-14-77. Jenny Kelly fired an ace on the par-three fifth hole.
n John Carter, Joan Curtis, Peter Rhodes and Pat Rhodes won the Dave Williams Memorial Trophy at Burghill Valley.
They carded 59.25 in the team of four mixed Texas scramble to push Dave Phillips, Jemma Williams, Danny Daniels and Rosemary Snowzell into second place on 61. Nigel Howard, Marilyn Howard, John Oldman and Ann Oldman were eased back into third place on a countback.

The ladies retained the Vixen Cup when they halved their annual match 6-6 against the men.
n Ross-on-Wye entertained Kington in an annual mixed match and beat the visitors 9-5.
Janice Buswell had the best silver division of 83 at the Spring meeting and Jill Sutton won the bronze gross with 94 on a countback from Jill Sutton.
