DUCK RACE -- The Great Allensmore Duck Race took place along Coedmore Brook by kind permission of Brian and Connie Lawrence. The duck belonging to Hackley Plant Hire won the race for the sponsors of the event. The bellringers are very grateful to all 24 sponsors, but unfortunately only one could win the whisky. The main duck race was won by Fiona Jelfs' duck, number 536, with Helen Meredith second and Matthew Jones third. A total of £1,000 was raised from the sale of ducks, sponsorship, donations and the sale of refreshments at the race. The money will go towards the refurbishment of St Andrew's Church bells this summer.
FAMILY SERVICE -- This Sunday's service will be led by John Pullen of Garway and will once again be held in Pateshall Hall, at 10.30am.
