A MOGGY mystery is baffling residents of a Herefordshire village, writes LIZ WATKINS.

Three much-loved cats have disappeared without trace from a cul-de-sac of 10 homes.

They lived in Orchard Close in Bishopstone and have now been missing for up to two weeks.

The first to go was Lily, a white cat owned by Debbie Ashe. Then it was Alfred, a ginger tom from next door owned by Sarah and Darren Morgan, and, finally, a few doors along the road, black-and-white Bubbles, owned by Christine Stuchbery, disappeared.

Helped by neighbours, they have scoured the area but there has been no sight or sound of the cats, dead or alive.

A special search was made when a group of walkers went on a two-hour hike through the district on Saturday, but no clues as to the cats' whereabouts came to light or of unusual goings-on of any nature.

The owners would be pleased to hear any information which could help clear up the mystery.
