A HEREFORDSHIRE man who was paralysed in a fall from a building site will star at a golf match to raise funds for the charity that helped him become independent.
Brod Hart will be at the third annual golf day organised by his parents, Dave and Sue Hart from Ledbury, to support him and The Back-Up Trust on Friday, June 20.
"The trust has done a lot for Brod and he wants to give them something from the proceeds of the day.
"From the golf days alone, over the past three years, we have raised £20,000 and generated a lot of awareness," said Mrs Hart.
The Back-Up Trust is a national charity that enables able-bodied and spinally injured people to take part in activities like skiing, sailing, canoeing and advanced wheelchair skills to increase independence.
The golf tournament will be at Belmont Golf Club, Hereford, and will involve 50 teams of four players.
