Redmarley pop hopeful Matthew Morris took a step closer to meeting his heroes, S-Club 8, after winning his heat in a televised sing-off on Saturday.
Matthew, aged 10, competed live against three other hopefuls on BBC 1's The Saturday Show belting out his favourite hit, Automatic High. Now another TV appearance beckons in three or four weeks time, when Matthew and mum Claire will be flown to Glasgow for the grand final. If he wins, the day out with S-Club 8 will be his.
Mrs Morris said: "We are chuffed to bits and it was a brilliant day last Saturday. All the kids enjoyed themselves and even got to meet Dannii Minogue."
