A letter of thanks from Buckingham Palace has been received by the mayor of Ledbury, Coun Keith Francis.
Coun Francis wrote to the Queen on behalf of the town to congratulate her on the 50th anniversary of the Coronation.
He said many councils must have written in the Golden Jubilee year, but fewer would have taken the opportunity to recall Coronation Day itself, which was last Tuesday (May 27).
The letter from the chief clerk to the Queen, Gill Middleburgh, said: "The Queen much appreciated the terms of your message and sends her warm good wishes to you all."
Coun Francis said another reason for sending a greeting to the Queen was the fact that she visited Ledbury during her Coronation year.
