FOUR members of Ledbury and District Amateur Swimming Club travelled to Gloucester to compete in the Tri Team Glos Aquathlon.

The quality of the competitors in this year's race was high as it had become part of the British Triathlon Association South West Youth series. But undeterred Bradley Smith, Patty Holloway, Hannah Bloxsome and Joe Bloxsome put in credible performances.

Performance of the day came from Bradley Smith competing in the 9/10 year age group. After putting in the fastest swim in his age group followed by a strong run, he managed to finish in second place just being beaten by a competitor who gained an advantage with a fast transition.

In the same age group, having turned nine the previous day, Joe Bloxsome put together a good swim, fast transition and good run to secure an impressive third place just behind Bradley

Hannah Bloxsome was next in the pool and, again at the lower end of her age group, put together a solid performance beating many older athletes.

The final competitor of the day was Patty Holloway who, after a good swim and fast transition, was cheered around the run by her team members again putting in a credible performance.
