Hereford United's Football in the Community scheme hope to organise a goal-keeping course for children at Hereford Leisure Centre over Easter.

Adriano Girolami, the scheme's officer, now wants to hear from any would-be Matt Bakers interested in taking part in the proposed coaching course.

If there are sufficient numbers for the course, he hopes to invite goalkeepers Baker and, possibly, Scott Cooksey and Jamie Hales to assist.

Girolami is now involved with 25 primary schools in Herefordshire and 10 after-school clubs - and a girls' league which he helped to set up in conjunction with the HFA has just been won by a team from St Paul's.

The Pegasus player has also been involved in the provision of an under-13 girls' competition which was won by Monmouth Comprehensive School, who beat Aylestone School on penalties in the area final.

The Welsh school will represent Hereford United in the South West finals of the Predator Cup at Bristol Rovers' ground later this year.

Girolami is also looking forward to the Out of Hours Childcare scheme which will be run at Edgar Street for two weeks in Easter and four weeks over the summer.

Up to 40 places will be available on the scheme, involving football, kwik cricket, other sports and video games, aimed at children between eight and 16 years old.
