A TEAM from the Golden Valley Riding Club are representing Wales later this month at the inaugural International Show Jumping Championships in Ireland.
Young riders Rachel White, Thomas Haynes, Percy Haynes and Hannah Warne will be travelling to County Kildare for the new three-day event, which opens on June 26.
The team will be taking part in the warm up on the opening day, competing in the Grand Prix class on the Saturday and then they will be battling it out in the Nations Cup on the final day.
The four-strong team have been invited to the championships following their impressive third-placed finish in the Riding Club National Championships at Lincoln in September.
The club, based near Hay-on-Wye, have just been awarded a Sports Lot grant and the team will be using that money to help fund their trip to the championships.
