Hereford and County Athletic Club had a successful day when the UKA National Young Athletes League was held on the Hereford Leisure Centre track.

In the under-13 boys, Callum Probyn won the 100m A in 14.2 sec, the long jump A with 3.90m and the shot putt B with 5.45m. James McCleod came 1st in the 200 m B in 30.4 sec and 2nd in the 100m B in 14.5 sec. Ryan Nicholas won the long jump B with 3.73m came 2nd in the 200m A in 30.2 sec and 3rd in the 800m A in 2 min 46.6 sec. Daniel King came 3rd in the 1500m A in 5 mins 53.9secs. Owen Gittoes came 2nd in the shot putt A with 4.78m and the 800m B in 3min 24.4 sec. The 4x100 relay team of Callum, James, Ryan and Daniel came 2nd in 62.4 sec.

In the under-15 boys, Ian Withers came 3rd in the 1500m A in 5 min 5.9 sec, the discus A with 21.45m and 4th in the 800m A in 2 min 33.8 sec. Eric Spink won his 800m B race in 2 mins 34.7 sec came 3rd in the long jump A with 4.37m and the javelin A with 14.97 metres. Ewan Short won the 3000m A in 10 min 28.9 sec. Rob Mason came 3rd in the 200m A in 32.8 sec and 4th in the 100m A in 14.5 sec. The 4 x 100 relay team of Ian, Eric, Rob and Ewan came 2nd in 4 min 54.5 sec.

In the under-17 men, Sam Horton was the pole vault A with 3.00m. James Fletcher won the long jump A with 5.72m and came 2nd in the 100m A in 11.9 sec and the 200m A in 24.3 sec. Adam Gittoes came 2nd in the javelin A with 24.63m and 3rd A in the shot putt A with 8.24m and the discus A with 18.52m.

In the under-13 girls Emma Heath came 3rd in the 75m A in 11.8 sec and won the 70m hurdles B in 16.1 sec. Rachel Skinner came 2nd in the 150m A in 21.9 sec and the long jump A with 3.87m. Sophia Day came 1st in the 1200m B in 5 min 59.8 sec and 2nd in the 75m A in 12.0 sec. Julieanne Clark came 2nd in the shot putt B with 4.92m and 3rd in the 150m B in 24.0 sec and the 800m A in 3 min 3.0 sec. Vanessa Bran came 2nd in the long jump B with 3.13m. Emily Tompkins came 1st in the high jump B with 1.15m and 2nd in the 70mhurdles in 15.2 sec and the 1200m A in 4min 57.6 sec. Phillipa Richards came 2nd in the high jump A with 1.15m and 3rd in the shot putt A with 5.21m. The 4x100m relay team of Rachel, Julieanne, Kayleigh Price and Emma came 2nd in 63.4sec.

In the under-15 girls, Becky Thorpe won the long jump A with 4.61m and came 3rd in the 100m A in 13.1 sec. Leah Preston won the long jump B with 3.85m and came 3rd in the 100m B in 14.4sec. Amy Ellis came 2nd in the 200m A in 28.4 sec with Keren Mills taking 3rd in the B race in 34.2sec. Olivia Sawyer won the 1500m A in 6 min 09.6 sec and came 2nd in the 800m A in 3min 01.3sec. Anna Robertson came 2nd in the shot putt A with 8.07m, the discus A with 17.85m and the javelin B with 11.14m. Kim Price won the shot putt B with 7.32m and the discus B with 16.05m and came 2nd in the javelin A with 14.14m. The 4x100 relay team of Becky, Leah, Amy and Anna came 2nd in 56.3secs.

In the under-17 women, Jocelyn Davies won the 90m hurdles A in 12.6 sec and the long jump A with 4.79m and came 2nd in the 100m A in 13.3 sec. Kristina Head came 2nd in the 900m A in 2min 49.8 sec, the 100m A in 5 mins 55.6 sec and the discus A with 12.03m.
